Temporal Dystopia was founded by high school mates, Luigi Di Serio (Guitars), Thomas Bozek (Drums) and Robert Reid (Bass). A local Toronto metal staple, the band went through various singers until it settle on Daniel Diaz long term. George La Rosa and Lucasz Bozek were also second guitar players at various points. After years of making demos, playing battle of the bands, jamming and writing... school, marriage and children took over each members' life and the band went AWOL.
In 2017, founding member Thomas Bozek was diagnosed with a terminal sickness, and he passed away a few years later (R.I.P.). As a founding member, principal song writer and the guy that named the band, the band seemed to have been buried with him.
However, in 2023, Luigi Di Serio had been listening to one of the band's old demos and decided it was time to re-record the music in the way him and Thomas intended it to sound. This is where Annihilator (the biggest thrash metal band from Canada) drummer (Fabio Alessandrini) would come in handy! He was the only guy that could fill Thomas' roll. Add Juani De Abreau (superstar metal bassists for Plan4 in Argentina) and social vocal sensation Rob Lundgred, that could bring the bass playing and Danny's vocal style to life, and you have a professional level, up to date, recording partnership to bring Temporal Dystopia back to life. TEMPORAL DYSTOPIA - METAL ARCHIVES
Temporal means temporary, and ironically in musical terms it means a set piece of time. A dystopia is a modern, hellish civilization where most the inhabitants exist within its confines as prisoners, whether they know it or not. So a temporal dystopia, is a hellish modern existence but it doesn't last forever. So it is a metaphor for our time, here, in this world. This is where the glam versus thrash rhetoric comes from!
All Temporal Dystopia albums are titled with a T and a D name. While there are many smaller three song EPs, the main two albums are the 12-song, Twelve Disciples, which are all our released songs on one album. Additionally, we have That Decade, which is an 1980s glam metal cover album, with awesome, less often covered hits from that era.
Luigi Di Serio is the song writer and producer of all the songs. While an all-star assortment of musicians have helped the songs come to life. While Rob Lundgred sings on the original material, English 1980s metal cover superstar, Rob Rideout sings and plays guitar on the covers songs in That Decade.
